Long time no talk, I know.
Remember in my last post I mentioned I was going to see James Bay in concert?! Well that day was this past Wednesday, and let me just tell you how freaking amazing he was!! He opened with "Collide," which I think was a great rock and roll song to get the crowd going. He played 14 songs and they were all great. He is one of those artists that sound even better live than they do recorded. I'm even more obsessed with his songs now than I was before, and I definitely want to go see him again next time he is in Toronto. Can I also say how much I enjoyed Toronto?! I go to TO often, but I have never stayed there over night. My roommates and I went for dinner at a really nice restaurant that we accidentally walked into just to get out of the rain. $36 for 9 ravioli and 1 glass of wine later, we were on our way to the show. The concert was at Sound Academy, which is by the shoreline of Toronto Harbour, so while we were waiting in line we had a really nice view of the CN Tower and the city. After the show we walked around for probably 20 minutes in the rain, along with the thousands of other people, trying to get a cab home. Once we finally made it home, I took off my shoes, which were absolutely killing my feet!, and jumped right into bed. We stayed at my roommate's sister's apartment, and I fell asleep watching planes take off from Pearson Airport. I loved it!
Let me know in the comments who is your favourite band/artist that you've seen play live?
